On a perfect October day, Amber and Chris were married in a celebrant ceremony at Clevedon Hall. With a delicious navy and white colour palate, the ceremony had a a late-Autumnal mellowness to it which was gorgeous. As the guests took their seat, I could feel a really high level of good energy coming from them. Everyone was so pleased to be there right from the start. As Amber came down the iconic Clevedon staircase and joined us, there were such lovely murmurs of appreciation for how simply beautiful she looked.

My side quest, as I do always have them, was ensure they went into marriage knowing how loved and supported they were, and to harness the goodwill of their loving friends and family. I custom made some ‘flashcards’ and asked all the guests I could approach before the ceremony what one thing they would like Amber and Chris to be for the rest of their married lives together. The answers ranged from sentimental to deeply funny, and it really focused everybody in on their love story.

Chris and Amber have been together for roughly a third of their lives, so rather than tell their story chronologically, we revisited their very funny origin story from University times and then took a long, loving look at how their lives have changed for the better since they found each other. I spoke to their closest friends and family whilst creating the ceremony and added in a secret section where they got to say, in their own words, just how loved they are as individuals.

Instead of wedding vows, we had commitments, between Amber and Chris, and then from friends and family shouting ‘we will’ to show their support. The ring exchange was followed by a tequila shot for me, Amber and Chris, which was certainly a livener!
what i loved about this wedding ceremony
Chris’ best man, Naresh, was a superstar. One of the most caring and supportive people I’ve met at a wedding, and such a nice man. Amber’s whole bridal look was spectacular. Her dress was so delicate and her makeup so fresh and rosy, and I loved the up-do and its gentle waves. She looked beautiful. Chris took full advantage of the room before the ceremony, making sure he said hello to absolutely everybody he could, which was lovely to watch. And, my very favourite bit, the wedding cake was the ceremonial guest of honour, watching the ring exchange and providing some beautiful extra sparkle.
Amber and Chris said after their wedding cermeony:
Eleanor was amazing! We knew that we wanted something more personal than the usual registrar route and Eleanor more than delivered. Our ceremony was fun and special to us which was entirely down to Eleanor’s hard work and fun energy! She asked all the right questions to both us and our family and friends to ensure the ceremony was unique and tailored – we can’t thank her enough to enough for making our day incredible. 10/10 would recommend!
