a playful, intimate spring wedding full of gorgeous moments for F&Z

Freya and Zach were married in a whirl of bright spring colour, surrounded by family and friends at Quantock Lakes. Their spring wedding day was full of intensely personal moments, created from a love story that spans nearly half their lives. It was a beautiful day, with so much laughter.

F&Z are words not deeds people, whose love for each other is deeply grounded in a mixture of shared experiences, mutual respect and a great sense of fun – they truly are absolute goals when it comes to understanding what makes your partner feel loved, happy and alive with possibility. We began with a look into how they met, in a Bristol nightclub, and weaved our way through their lives bringing friends and family’s thoughts on their love story in with us. Their love of cultural reference points to their relationship provided us with so many heart-melting moments, not least the use of some Parks and Recreation lines to sum up how they feel about each other. We also recreated some classic moments from their past instead of using a traditional marriage declaration, where Zach announced the next chapter of their commitment himself, just as he’d done in the car on the way to a party many years ago.

what i loved about this wedding

  • The ceremony and clothing aesthetic was gorgeous. Both F&Z dressed themselves so beautifully, so reflective of their personalities and they were both absolutely shining. The ceremony space felt so intimate and special, with gorgeous colourful flowering from Aizel at Yallam Hayes
  • F&Z’s engagement in the ceremony creation process was so attentive, the ceremony was one of the most personal I’ve ever created. They have such a definitive love language, it made it a very involved and collaborative write, and I was super-proud of the results. Family and friends truly got to see the reality of their love for each other.
  • The laughter and the natural flow of the ceremony, it was beautiful to watch their guests all fall a little deeper in love with love as we progressed through the day.
  • Freya’s bridal party was impeccably dressed and such a supportive bunch of folks, they really knew how to be there for their gorgeous friend.
  • The snack station – not that I nicked any of them, but I noticed as I was leaving that there was a table with mid-agenda snacks available of all types. Perfection. Also, Hannah from The Gorge Bakehouse‘s cake was full on beautiful.

What F&Z loved about their ceremony

“Thanks so much Eleanor, I don’t think we could imagined it going any better, the ceremony was perfect. Right down to the bit where I completely forgot my line, looked at the line, immediately forgot it again….and then said the thing I was supposed to say

We had so many people coming up to us saying how amazing the whole ceremony was and how ‘us’ it was too.

Anyone looking for a celebrant for their wedding we would both fully recommend Eleanor, she took everything that made our relationship special and distilled it into the perfect ceremony”

Thank you both so much for asking me to be part of your wedding celebrations, it was a brilliant day.
