Hannah and Scott’s orchard wedding day was utter rural, floral, joyous perfection. Amongst trees softly dropping russet apples as we gathered, they were married at The Orchard at Munsley, on a classic English late-summer afternoon. The ceremony took place under canvas, where Hannah and Scott made their vows beside me and Doris, their beautiful little dog, watched over by the loveliest friends and family crowd. Later, we drank cocktails and sat on lavishly patterned banqueting tables decorated with fruit and vegetable tablescapes, beneath canopies of flowers and foliage. Nothing I can say here will really do the day’s beauty any justice. It was heaven to be part of.

Hannah and Scott’s deep love for nature flowed through the narrative of the whole day, intertwined with the vitality of their own love story. Two incredible people, two big, buzzy families enveloping them in outrageous joy, it was just so good to be there for them. Scott and I wanted Hannah to truly understand what a beautiful person she is, and how much she means to those who love her. Her creativity and endless brilliant little touches were emblazoned on every surface, from the handmade tablecloths to every carefully chosen bloom, it was a delight to work with a couple so interested in the authenticity and provenance of everything present at their wedding, and for me, a deep personal pleasure to create a ceremony that did their values justice.
The orchard wedding ceremony had us all in tears, from the minute Hannah’s father, at least 14 feet tall with his daughter by his side, drove her into the orchard in a vintage Morgan. Doris, a consummate absorber of compliments, lay quietly whilst I distracted notoriously selfless Hannah from the enormity of her wedding day with a long list of other reasons why September 14th was a memorable date around the world. “falling in love is like owning a dog” by Taylor Mali got an outing from Hannah’s lovely mum. Whilst the guests made their commitments to Hannah and Scott, I watched them both take it all in. Their vows were swathed in the light breeze of the orchard, and when they kissed, we all shouted with joy. No polite clapping would have covered it. I think we all left the ceremony a little bit more in love with love than we were before.

What H&S loved about their ceremony
Scott said, “Eleanor was more than a celebrant at our wedding, she was also a guest and now she’s a friend! Talking to her and discussing what we wanted for our wedding day was one of the most natural and enjoyable experience of my life.
Her extremely personal service, caring and compassionate nature and ability to understand both me and my now wife, allowed her to deliver a service we’ll never forget. Our guest were blown away by her and her work, saying they’d never heard a service like it.
Eleanor is also great craic and even if she hadn’t been delivering our service, she would have been a welcomed addition to our day!
I / we cannot thank her enough.”

Oh my gosh, where to start.

Thank you, Hannah and Scott, for choosing me. I’m so glad to have you in my life! And, good girl Doris, good girl.
