Jordanne and Sam were married at the iconic North Cadbury Court, an absolute jewel of Somerset of a manor house venue. They live in Australia, and brought family and friends together from across the world for their three-day celebrations. The wedding was designed to be the perfect weekend party, and the wedding ceremony was the centrepiece, taking place in one of North Cadbury’s most elegant spaces, the small pagoda, surrounded by box-hedges and roses, with a glimpse of the lake behind. It was a glamour-filled, luxe vibe with so many stylish details.
Our ceremony began with the story of their statistically highly unlikely meeting in Peru and continued with stories of the huge bravery they needed to build lives together (Jordanne is English). Jordanne’s grandmother did a beautiful reading which had everybody in tears, including me! I delivered some thoughts on their marriage from their lovely dog Chilli, who wasn’t able to make the flight over and made sure he was an important part of their day. Jordanne and Sam’s family and friends joined in with their commitments and made promises of love and support to them too, and their vows were perfect. More happy tears were shed.
The energy brought by these two lovely people, their bridesmaids and groomsmen, and their families, was unbelievable. There was such an immense feeling of closeness and happiness to be around each other. It was completely infectious and made the ceremony so relaxed and enjoyable to lead. After a showstopper of a dip kiss at the top of the aisle, we had a gorgeous confetti shower followed by drinks on the lawn. Some people peeled off to play tennis, some croquet. The mixture of accents and the constant laughter on the summer breeze was absolutely delightful.
