I am fully booked for 2025. Why? Because I limit my wedding celebrant bookings so that I can work on personalising my couples’ wedding ceremonies to the standards that I have set myself. That doesn’t mean I have a set number of weddings that I do each year. So what does it mean?
Almost all of the work I do with you happens before your wedding day. It never feels like work to get to know you, spend time with you, or have fun with you, but it needs to be done so I can give you the best possible wedding ceremony. On average, I spend around four working days creating each ceremony. So, I don’t want to overload myself and disengage from the intensity of it by overloading myself.
My fully booked number for 2025 is 30 ceremonies. However, if you want to get married on a Friday, a weekday in September or October, or any day in December, do get in touch. My number for 2026 might be different. I’m currently 25% booked.
I want to be available to my couples, especially in the crucial first few weeks of planning, and the last few days before the ceremony, to support you if you need me.
Like any small business, a wedding celebrant needs to focus on ensuring that bookings are steady for years to come. In order to do that, I focus on marketing and making sure I have strong relationships with wedding venues and other suppliers which also takes time. I love to be able to make recommendations to my couples (you can see these on my recommended suppliers page too). But marketing never takes the place of creating great ceremonies, I always prioritise this.
I do take bookings for weddings on concurrent days, but only if they are local to my home, or local to each other. That being said, I keep it as a rare occasion. Each ceremony is special to me and I want to prepare and be the celebrant you booked, not a husk of a person with yesterday’s hair.
You need to be able to trust that I’ll be there for you on the day at the time I said I would, so, I allow double the travel time I need. I don’t charge for that time, just for mileage if you are outside my radius (you can see how this works on my celebrant pricing page)
